Small Hearts GREW Bigger at QHA Germantown Rotary Lighting

The Quincy Housing Authority warmed the hearts of nearly 200 people last night in celebrating the agency’s lighting of the Germantown Rotary. Despite the cold, this annual event brought out kids and kids at heart for some hot chocolate, donuts, pizza, and holiday music. Children eagerly awaited Santa who arrived from the North Pole just in time to join us for the occasion. Thank you to Quincy Police and Fire for the detail to ensure Santa’s timely visit.

Skipper also paid us a visit. Who’s Skipper, you ask? Skipper is just one of Santa’s army of elves who is assigned to New England coastal communities. Elated with holiday cheer, Skipper dropped in for a nosh and even photo bombed our staff photo. As we wrapped up the night, we even caught a glimpse of him working overtime in Santa’s workshop.

Thank you to our staff of volunteers who helped make this event possible, and a special thanks our residents who came out to enjoy the holiday festivities. We wish you and your families a very happy holiday season.
