Quincy Housing Authority Now Managing Marshfield & Hingham Public Housing

As recognized as a high performing agency,  Quincy Housing Authority (QHA) was asked to take over management of 2 additional Housing Authorities, Hingham and Marshfield.

QHA has been managing these two authorities for several months and have made much needed dramatic improvements. QHA is proud of these collaborative agreements and continue to improve quality of living for the residents at  Marshfield and Hingham Housing Authorities.

During the COVID19 Pandemic we ask that you follow the State guidelines:

  • All residents are REQUIRED to cover their face when they cannot maintain six feet of social distance in public
  • All residents are advised to wash their hands frequently for at least 20 seconds with soapy water
  • All residents are advised to be vigilant, monitor for symptoms and stay home if you feel sick
  • People over the age of 65 and people who have underlying health conditions – who are at high risk for COVID-19 – should continue to stay home except for essential errands such as going to the grocery store and to attend to healthcare needs
  • All residents are advised to leave home only for healthcare, worship and permitted work, shopping, and activities
  • When going to the pharmacy ask if you can fill your prescriptions for 90 days if possible; for some medications this is not allowed. If you are at high-risk, try to use a mail-order service
  • Parents should limit play dates for children
  • Use remote modes of communication like phone or video chat instead of visiting friends or family who are high risk for COVID-19

Legal Notice

On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, the Draft Amendment to the Annual Public Housing Agency Plan of the Quincy Housing Authority (QHA), as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), will be available for a forty-five (45) day public review and comment period. The Draft is available for inspection by the public on the QHA website http://quincyha.phanetwork.com and at the principal office of the QHA, located at 80 Clay Street, Quincy, MA 02170. The QHA main office is wheelchair accessible and reasonable accommodations will be provided to persons requesting assistance. The Amendment is scheduled to be submitted to HUD on January 16, 2020 or thereabouts. A Public Hearing to consider comments on the Draft Amendment will be held on January 8th, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in the Community Room on the 12th floor of the QHA’s principal office location at 80 Clay Street, Quincy, MA 02170.  Additionally, the Quincy Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will meet on January 15, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. to consider adoption of the Amendment before its submission to HUD; any additional comments on the Amendment will be considered up to this meeting.  This Board Meeting will also be in the Community Room on the 12th floor at 80 Clay Street.  Anyone wishing further information on the QHA’s Amendment to the Agency Plan should contact Carolyn M. QHA PARKING POLICY

WILL BE ENFORCED IN THE SNUG HARBOR FAMILY DEVELOPMENT EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2019

The Quincy Housing Authority has adopted a new parking policy. Enforcement of the new parking policy in your development will begin January 1, 2019. This means, any tenant who wishes to park their vehicle on QHA property at Snug Harbor between the hours of 12:00 am and 6:00 am must have a valid parking permit (including all tenants with Handicap placards or license plates). The permit, in the form of a sticker must be permanently affixed to the inside lower corner of the driver side (left side) of the listed vehicle’s front windshield. For motorcycles, owners must affix the sticker to the fork on the operators left side. The parking permit (sticker) is NOT transferable. Any vehicle that is parked on QHA property between the hours of 12:00 am and 6:00 am without a valid parking sticker as of January 1, 2019 will be towed at the owner’s expense by Ayer’s Towing 440B E. Squantum Quincy MA. Phone # 617-328-0056.

If you have not yet done so, you must register your vehicle with your Property Manager as soon as possible. The Property Manager’s office is located at our Support Services Department, 26 Figurehead Lane in Germantown. In order to obtain a parking permit, you will be required to provide the Manager with a valid Mass. Driver’s license, and a copy of the vehicle registration. (Please note, the vehicle must be registered in the resident’s name.)

Further, if you are in need of a temporary permit, please see your property manager. A temporary permit may be issued to a resident in good standing on a case by case basis. Please note, parking on the street during winter months could lead to towing during snow storms. Please contact the City of Quincy for more information.
